Event description
Hi all,
I hope you are all well. It sounds like you all had a fun time at the bowling.
Right, so now for our festive event in December. This group is for birth children who are part of a fostering family. On the 3rd of December we are planning on going to Avon Valley Christmas Nights this will be around 5ish, times to be confirmed, and the end of the evening will be around 7ish, again be confirmed.
We have to confirm numbers for this event by 5/11/21 so please email me or Katie with your interest for this event. This group is aimed at 5-18 year olds. If your child is younger due to support requirements we would ask that a parent come along to the event to support their child. I have requested some carer tickets but they are limited so we may ask for a contribution towards paying for this.
At Avon Valley we can follow and interact with the light trail around the park with the lake and trees creating a spectacular backdrop. The Enchanted Village is open for fun festive photo opportunities along with the Post Room for anyone wishing to post a letter to Santa and use the Avon Valley SMS (Santa Messaging Service). The Polar Express Miniature Steam Train is ready to ride you through the Snowy Forest. There will be festive food on the way round which we will find out more information about.
Please let us know if this is something you would be interested in. Please let us know by 5/11/21.
Any questions please don’t hesitate to contact us.

This is group ran by the FACs team to support foster carers own children. We realise that fostering can be difficult for your children and the important role they play in a fostering family.
This group is ran 4 times a year in different venues with different activities so your children can come along and met others who are part of a fostering family.
Our aim is to enable your children to talk freely and openly about their emotions regarding fostering, make new friends and have fun.
Although these will be informal meetings, each session will have a brief agenda, attendance list, and agreed group rules. This is to help those who don’t know anyone feel welcome and less awkward about coming along to a new meeting, also to feel that they won’t be left alone on the side-lines.
Sometimes there will be speakers and topics as requested by the group/children, this will hopefully make it as relevant and fun for your child/ren.
