Event description
The Virtual School value the time they spend with carers, and to enable this to be an even more successful partnership between school and home, would like to have more sessions available for meeting you during the course of the year. Each session will have a focus, but as ever, if there are topics we haven’t identified that you would find more helpful, please let Catherine Charlton know, by emailing: catherine.charlton@southglos.gov.uk



 



Learning outcomes
This session will focus on: What is the  Virtual School.

The head of the virtual school, Steve Claypoole, will lead this session, explaining the set up and what the virtual schools role is in your young persons education.
As well as that it will be an opportunity for them to share any updates and anything new that is currently happening in the world of education and especially around chidlren looked after.
They will talk about the role of the designated teacher, Pupil Education Plans, (PEP's) and Pupil Premium.
Finally it will be an opportunity for you to understand the essential role you also play in your childs education.

There will also be the opportunity for you to raise any other issues you have about  the education of your young person.
