Event description
Where and how can we support a young person with additional needs? Well, we need to meet them in the middle!

Often young people with additional needs are forced to fit in with social situations and their environment. We encourage them to use tools to cope and manage their pressures and stress. However, we all have a responsibility to rethink our behaviours, our environments, and our communication to enable a young person with additional needs to join in and fit in better. This will ultimately improve the mental health and anxiety of a young person.
Learning outcomes
This session will discuss: what we can all do simply, how we can look at our environments, behaviours, and communication to meet people with additional needs in the middle, and reduce anxiety, improve connection and communication.
