Event description
This course is aimed at anyone with an educational background wanting to develop outdoor teaching skills. The Outdoor Learning Practice training course fits the needs of educational professionals in the EYFS and National Curriculum.

Entry Requirements:
You must be working in an educational establishment and have a current DBS check.

This training focuses on developing practical hands-on skills and a bank of activities. It will enable you to build confidence and your ability in using the outdoor environments, learning how to manage and improve these for teaching & learning. It is designed to be as practical, accessible and supportive as possible in helping you to make a success of implementing a programme of Outdoor Learning.

This is a QCF accredited course through Cambium. You will have a workbook to hand in, in order to complete the course. This will take approximately three months to complete.

What next? Once this course is completed, if you would like to develop your knowledge and work towards embedding outdoor learning as a whole school strategy, you can top up and book onto the Level 3 Award in
Coordinating an Outdoor Curriculum.

Please bring a packed lunch as lunches will not be provided.

We are part of the Cambium Trainers Network. The Cambium Network has trainers in many parts of the UK. We cooperate in Continuing Professional Development, standardisation of assessment and feedback, submission of work to Agored Cymru (Formerly OCN Wales) awarding body and internal and external quality assurance.

Trainers meet regularly to discuss the latest developments, and to exchange ideas, skills and techniques and to play for the future. Most members of the Cambium Network provide services directly to schools and other bodies wishing to engage with the expanding use of Forest School, Outdoor Learning and Coastal School techniques in early years, primary and secondary education.
