Event description
This 4-part course is for Baby Room Practitioners who would like an opportunity to develop their knowledge and practice with children 0 – 2 years old.

Baby room practitioners play a key role in those very first experiences, but what should the world look like through the eyes of the babies in your care to make this start the very best for them?

This interactive and informative course will facilitate practitioners to gain a deeper understanding of babies, their unique needs, and the stages of development they typically go through. A range of thought provoking activities and discussions will inspire practitioners to reflect upon their team’s outlook on provision for babies, how this impacts babies, and ways that they can improve the experiences that they provide.

Each session will have a different focus with gap tasks and further information via a designated learning space specifically for delegates, to encourage deeper individual reflection beyond the session. Practitioners will be expected to attend all sessions to fully benefit from the course.

Session 1 – Attachment, routines and the role of the key person.
Session 2 – Understanding and supporting the prime areas of learning.
Session 3 – Practical activities which support the characteristics of effective learning.
Session 4 – Enabling your environment.

Upon completing the course a visit will be offered to all delegates to provide tailored support with embedding their knowledge into practice.

NO-SHOW POLICY
It is important to note that the majority of our early years courses are subject to a ‘no-show’ policy. Payments made for chargeable courses are non-refundable unless cancellation is received at least five working days prior to the start of the course. For centrally funded courses, if a delegate fails to attend, or fails to cancel at least five working days prior to the start of the course, the setting will be invoiced for a no-show charge – this charge will be £30 if the course is 3 hours or less, or £50 if the course is more than 3 hours.
By booking on to any course directly run by the Early Years Team there is an assumption that you accept the terms and conditions of the no-show policy
