Event description
A two hour training course-Making Every Contact Count is an approach that uses the millions of day to day interactions that organisations and individuals have with people to support them in making positive changes to their physical and mental health and wellbeing. Rather than telling people what to do Making Every Contact Count is about recognising opportunities to talk to people about their wellbeing using the skills of asking and listening. Making Every Contact Count is not intended to add to busy workloads.
Learning outcomes
Staff will have more focussed conversations which will lead to service users feeling more empowered about the outcome of their conversation. The approach means that staff and service users feel more confident in making the decisions needed about the identified concerns
