Event description
This three hour induction course provides a basic understanding of Health & Safety, Safe Handling Principles, Spinal Mechanics and 24 hour Back Care and aims to introduce Administration, Office, Domestic, Handyperson, Laundry and Kitchen staff to safe working practice and basic load handling techniques. Please make sure you wear suitable clothing and footwear as there is a practical aspect to this training.
Learning outcomes
ðBe aware of the policies, procedures & legislation relevant to manual handling. ðHave an understanding of and realize the importance of risk-assessment ðHave a basic knowledge of spinal mechanics and the principles of safe manual handling
