Event description
This is the 1st of two masterclasses being led by Jenny Molloy - care leaver, experienced trainer, LAC adviser and author of Hackney Child, Tainted Love and Neglected.

Jenny is an inspirational woman who talks about her own difficult upbringing and experiences of being a child in care.

This unique insight will support your work with children and young people, helping them to understand and make sense of their past, cope with current uncertainties, develop a clearer sense of identity and ensure aspirations for children in care are always at their highest.
Learning outcomes
The learning outcomes for this event are to:

• Understand the impact of children’s earlier experiences on their capacity to express their feelings and needs,

• Understand the importance of language when working with looked after children, and its negative and positive emotional impact on children and all those supporting and caring for them,
