PLEASE NOTE SESSION 1 HAS BEEN CANCELLED. SESSIONS 2 & 3 WILL GO AHEAD AS PLANNED.
This network is for EYFS leaders, assessment co-ordinators and experienced EYFS teachers who are aspiring leaders in school.
What does high quality teaching and learning look like in Reception? How do I monitor progress? How do I ensure the children are prepared for Year 1? What is expected progress in Reception? How do I monitor continuous provision? How do I diminish the difference for disadvantaged children? What is your data telling you?
Do these questions sound familiar? Are you juggling the role of the EYFS leader while teaching the youngest children in your school? If so, this network is for you.
We will explore the role of the EYFS leader within a school, embracing the challenge of leading this unique phase of education. The sessions will provide delegates with the opportunity to meet other leaders and address current issues and problem solve together. This will be a forum which will respond to your needs and requirements as leaders within school.
Effective leadership in early years has been recognised as being significant in raising standards and outcomes for children. Through this network you will develop your own leadership skills in order to achieve outstanding outcomes for your children.
To identify and develop the role of the EYFS leader in monitoring and evaluating teaching and learning.
To engage in self-evaluation to compose and implement an EYFS action plan.
To explore current issues and recent publications related to the EYFS and the impact they have on teaching and learning.
To ensure smooth transition systems are in place for children into and out of the EYFS.
