This one day course gives practitioners who are working with parents and their families practical appraoches, tools and resources to use directly with them. It will also give practitioners an insight into how parents are coping and feeling and it will explore effective ways to support them.

Learning outcomes

To have a greater understanding of Child Exploitation

To have considered the impact of Exploitation on parents/carers and the wider family

To have considered the benefits and difficulties of working with parents of children who are being exploited, or who are at risk.

To have knowledge of research, resources and tools available for work with parents and carers.

To be aware of how parents feel and cope when statutory agencies and professionals get involved.
