Event description

This course will run alongside the Level 3 Certificate in Leading Forest School. The training will include modules such as:

· Supporting Learning, Play and Development in the Outdoors

· Sustainable Use of Natural Resources

· Outdoor Practical Skills

· Assist at Forest School

Please note this course enables you to assist at Forest Schools and does not qualify you to run Forest School sessions.

This is a QCF accredited course through Cambium and Agored (QCF). You will have a workbook to hand in to complete the course. This should take approximately six months to complete.

Please bring a packed lunch as lunches will not be provided.

This course will enable you to assist at forest school sessions alongside a qualified Level 3 Forest School Leader.

Entry requirements: Must have established link with a qualified Level 3 Forest School Leader; be aged 16 years or over; be DBS checked and hold a Level 1 outdoor learning qualification or equivalent. A suitable first aid qualification is also useful to complement this course.
Learning outcomes
To have an opportunity to learn and further develop a range of outdoor practical tasks in a natural environment.

To understand how to use the woodland as a sustainable natural resource and understand the ecology.

To explore the theoretical side of planning for learning and play at Forest School.
