Event description
This course is for leaders, managers, deputies and room leaders who would like to gain skills and insights into the change process and how this might affect different people. On top of this, how do we fit everything into our very busy days? Do you find yourself saying frequently “there is not enough time”? This course will explore ways of using time management more effectively – come along and find out more!

“Change can be scary and it doesn’t have to be and when it comes from the frontline it can be very healthy ….. change can be a stimulus for new ideas and rekindle enthusiasm and commitment.”
Leadership Skills in Early Years, O’Sullivan 2009, p39

It is important, as a leader and manager, that you develop effective strategies for managing your time to balance the conflicting demands of the role, your family and leisure. This course will explore strategies which you will be able to use to help you achieve greater balance.

This course will help you to reflect on current practice and provide practical strategies to have a positive impact on your setting. This course is ideal for practitioners new to leadership and management; deputies seeking to develop skills; and experienced leaders seeking to refresh and develop their skills and understanding.

This is a stand-alone course which is one of 7 leadership and management sessions offered throughout the year. Together they will provide valuable support to leaders and managers. In addition supporting materials are available on the VLE to further supplement knowledge and understanding of this subject.
