Event description
This one-day course explores behaviour in relation to autism. Through further developing learner’s understanding of autism and how external factors can impact on behaviours the course looks at how to design and implement appropriate interventions to help support individuals. This course is suitable for anyone working with children or adults with autism. A basic understanding of autism is required for this course. This course does not provide training in the use of physical intervention. The standard charge for this course is £70 per day. Learning outcomes
- Have a greater ability in defining challenging behaviour relating to people with autism.
- Develop a greater understanding of people with autism and be able to identify causes of anxiety and associated characteristics.
- Increase your understanding of how to use individualised support strategies with people with autism.
- Be more confident in identifying and making changes to your practice to positively support people with autism.
